Come and learn your jewellery making skills in the beautiful surrounds of the artist’s colony of Montsalvat with Master Craftswoman Jeanette Dyke. Jeanette received her Masters Degree in gold and silversmithing from the Royal College of Art in London in 1993 and has 30 years of knowledge and experience to share with you.
“My classes aim to provide you with great ambiance in a relaxed and beautiful environment. I only teach 4 students at a time so you will have lots of quality attention in order to learn your new skill. And don’t worry, I have the patience of a saint and lots of cups of tea to keep you going. I will show you how to make your jewellery, give you hard copy instructions to take away with you and then guide you through your learning experience.”
Jeanette's jewellery classes are for complete beginners through to advanced students and she also offers private classes tailored to your needs.
Jewellery classes are held in Jeanette's stunning medieval style studio with vaulted ceiling, stone spiral staircase and minstrels gallery, complete with peacocks at the window and overlooking the 1930's swimming pool and gothic chapel.
Each Beginners/Intermediate Jewellery Class runs over 4 weeks at 3 hours per week (total of 12 hours).
I have a maximum of 4 students per class so that everyone receives lots of individual attention.
All materials are included in the price! That includes silver and consumables.
Hand tools are supplied for use on the day and everyone gets their own bench to work at.
Classes available include: Rings, Pendants, Earrings, Soldering, Bezel Setting, Gypsy Setting, Spoon Making and Raising a Bowl. If you don't see the class you want them please ask, as I can always make a class especially for your needs.
Please note: You must be 18 years or older to participate in these classes.
Private classes are also available and can be tailored to suit your needs. Minimum of 2 hours and maximum of up to 6 hours per day.
