We can all agree that these times we live in are challenging and can cause feelings of despair, fear, anger and uncertainty. When we enter into our embodied experience we have the opportunity to go deep into what is really happening, in the now. We can choose to relate with life from an empowered place and remember that we have the keys to being a change and making a difference in the world around us.

When we become like water, the mind can rest and we can learn to bend, flex, be shaped, come together, let go and be shown the way to flow into real solutions.

We shall meet you there.

Phoenix and Richard

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

What is Dancing Freedom?
Dancing Freedom is a somatic, ecstatic and shamanic dance practice that supports the re-emergence of embodied wholeness. By gathering in community we dance an elemental wave, tapping into the fundamental building blocks that we are made of: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Together, we co-create a safe space for Y(our) true self to experience full bodied expression.

In this movement practice, we dance in ceremony; we give ourselves permission to enter the mythic, to work with our intent and welcome our felt senses to weave a new reality for ourselves and all our relations.

All bodies, abilities and backgrounds are welcome. The practice supports physical fitness, emotional and spiritual healing, personal and leadership development and the ability to create and sustain healthy relationships.

This will be a collaboration between Richard and myself. If you are curious about the kind of vibe I like to share, you can check out a bunch of my playlists on Mixcloud. You can check out Rich's mixes on Mixcloud.

About Me:
Inspired by her experiences on dance floors from around the globe Phoenix has devoted the past 20 years of her life to exploring what it means to use dance, authentic movement and ceremony for healing and transformation. In facilitating her own evolution and that of others she is assisting with the global shift that is happening at this time. With the tools she has gained throughout her life she empowers and reminds others to embrace their body’s movements and natural intelligence as a means of experiencing life to its fullest.

Phoenix is the director and lead teacher trainer of this movement practice- sharing this embodied wisdom with dance medicine carriers from around the globe. She brings a love, devotion and authenticity to her classes that can be felt by all.
