Dreamboogie – Melbourne Fringe

Dreamboogie are a leading Melbourne blues act. Featuring the renowned vocalist Rebecca Davey, an artist who is inspired by the great female blues artists of the 1920s and 30s. "I want to bring some of the attitude and style of Bessie Smith and Ma Rainey to modern audiences", she states.

They have twice won the Melbourne Blues Challenge and represented Melbourne at the International Blues Challenge, held in Memphis (USA). Their 2nd appearance saw them advance to the Semi-Finals.

Appearances at all major Australian Blues Festivals in every State and Territory has resulted in a national profile for the act. They have released 3 albums, their 1st reaching Number 1 on the Australian Blues and Roots Chart.
