Two-day Handstand Bootcamp

Discover how to achieve a picture-perfect gymnastics handstand without wasting time.

Get ready to feel the burn and blast those abs, butt and thighs into a washboard stomach and taught lower body. International Cirque Athlete™ and Fitness professional Brian Buenrostro reveals the most effective five-step progression, anyone can train to handstand like a pro.

This program gets straight to the common trouble areas with intensive exercises influenced by handstand and bodyweight training designed to tone you up and give you the posture-enhancing benefits of better core strength.

Day 1

The first day of bootcamp is focused on setting up your foundations e.g base of support, push and tension points, core activation & confidence build up with and without the wall. We’ll explore mobility training through a number of gymnastics-based drills for creating and body awareness and control across various planes of movement. This session is all about motor skills and brain-training to find your centre of gravity in the different handstand shapes Scissor, Tuck, and Straddle!

Day 2

The second day of bootcamp introduces techniques for upper muscle endurance and lower body for longer holds and different leg positions. Because Handstand comes in so many shapes and sizes, you’ll be exploring the different anatomical elements of the position and what suits your best! One size does not fit all here, every participant get the opportunity to find their suited Handstand position and this session will give you efficient tools to find your strongest variation!
