The Melbourne Athenaeum Library will host a free Mystery in the Library event run by the Ngaio Marsh Awards, New Zealand's literary prizes for crime, mystery and thriller writing. Three talented storytellers, each with a New Zealand connection but based in Melbourne, will meet at the library to discuss the crime and thriller writing genre.
Two new voices in crime writing, RWR McDonald and JP Pomare, will be joined by crime researcher and literary archaeologist Lucy Sussex to discuss what draws them to mystery writing, how they craft memorable characters and the impact of local settings. Entry is free but bookings are required by calling 9650 3100.
