In response to the tragic news of the death of a dolphin calf from entanglement in the Swan River in early April, Sea Shepherd's Fremantle Marine Debris Team is hosting a river clean-up.

For our May clean-up we are joining forces with Cleanamarina Pty Ltd and together with your help we will tackle the river and foreshore around Point Walter Reserve, an area popular with locals, picnickers, boaties and the general public who love the Swan River.

We will be setting up on the grass adjacent to the cafe and toilets with the closest carpark off Burke Drive and which services the boat ramp. Additional parking is available at the bottom of and along Honour Avenue (enter from Point Walter Rd).

Please bring along your family and friends and together we can stop more debris from entering the Swan River and eventually the Indian Ocean, giving marine life a chance to thrive and survive.

Please wear enclosed shoes, wear a hat, bring water in a reusable bottle (no single use plastic bottles please) and be sun smart. If you have reusable gloves or pick up tools please bring them with you. If you have a kayak or paddleboard feel free it along (including BYO life-jackets if required).

9:00am–10:30am - River Clean Up
10:30am–12:00pm - Sorting and Counting, we would love some help with this

All our clean-up events are inclusive, family friendly and single-use plastic free. Let’s save our rivers and oceans together! Help us #StemtheTide.
