Listen up! Hipsters, Flipsters and Chrome Plated Daddies, take a hip tip and look up, down and all around for the man and the band that hound down the ground poundin’ sound! It’s the boss with the hot sauce, the geator with the heater, the band with more Soul than they can control...The Lamplighters!

The Lamplighters are a soul and rock n’ roll band dedicated to recreating the look and sound of an authentic 1960’s R&B group and the hit songs of that era.

The lineup of drums, bass, guitars, three vocalists and two go-go dancers lay down the smooth groovers and cool movers made famous by James Brown, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Righteous Brothers, Sam Cooke, Little Richard and The Young Rascals.

The Lamplighters visual impact is totally in line with the era of their music. Featured on stage are go-go dancers in mod mini dresses and knee high boots. The band are in narrow lapelled jackets , thin ties, stovepipe pants and pompadour hairstyles while playing vintage guitars and drums and singing into 1960’s chromed microphones!

The Lamplighters have recently branched out into writing & performing their own original material in a hard hitting, energetic modern soul style. Their tunes have mass appeal with both young n old alike, always setting the dance floor jumpin' no matter where they play.

The leader and lead singer of The Lamplighters is Dan Wilton. Dan is a singer and multi-instrumentalist with 15 years experience playing in rock bands. Most recently, Dan has played Johnny O’Keefe in the stage show “Shout!” which played to packed houses and earned Dan a best actor nomination from the City Of Newcastle Dramatic Awards (C.O.N.D.A).

Dan has assembled a group of young, talented, enthusiastic musicians, singers and dancers who put on an exciting, high energy show. The Lamplighters can perform a 3 hour show of towering power with all your fave soul hits or move you to motion with their hard hitting, all original, modern soul set!
