Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day, pop into Marrickville's own Lazybones Lounge for a very specially curated evening of incredible, original live music. These artists represent the most promising talent currently emerging from Sydney's colourful music scene. Bring your special someone, or bring yourself! Everybody is welcome. Sly Robin:
Following the release of their debut single "Sweetness Like Sugar" late last year, Sly Robin are quickly becoming known for their infection melodies, upbeat disposition and smooth as butter vocals. Audiences all over Sydney are often unable to resist the urge to get up and dance when this incredibly impressive outfit hits the stage.

East Denistone:
Characterised by layered stories and a wide range of emotions, East Denistone's idiosyncratic brand of alternative rock is something that needs to be experienced live. Jumping from upbeat and passionate to downtrodden and melancholic in the blink of an eye, there is something enthralling about the unrestrained manner in which he approaches music. Last year saw him release his debut EP, and 2019 is looking even more exciting for this Sydney musician.

Olga Solar:
Olga's debut EP, released last year, was instantly picked up and latched onto by many around the Australia's music industry. Her foray from violinist to fully fledged singer/songwriter has proved incredibly fruitful—with her releases making their way to Triple J and FBi radio. Channeling the spirit of giants such as Fiona Apple, Tori Amos and Norah Jones, this is one artist that is making some serious noise around the music scene.

Darby Music:
There is no performer better at crafting an engrossing atmosphere with so little on stage - armed with just a guitar and an amazing skill set, Darby will reel you in and refuse to let you go. Some 2018 highlights saw her supporting Tia Gostelow song releases receiving spins on 'Roots n All' and 'Home and Hosed' on triple j.
