Women of Soul

Melbourne’s best female soul singers unite at Women of Soul on 14 November for their one and only show in 2019. Featuring Carla Troiano (Mayfield), Shannen Wick (Fulton Street), Chelsea Wilson, Emilia (The Mamas), Raleigh Williams (Cookin’ on 3 Burners) and Laura Ingram, backed by their all-star house band and supported by PBS DJ Ms Goldie—get ready to shake and shimmy to sweet soul, deep funk and disco grooves. Chelsea Wilson said: "We are so excited to be bringing Women of Soul back to one of our favourite spaces in Melbourne. We have new singers, new vocalists and are pumped for a night of original soul and boogie."

Since 2011, the Women of Soul collective has presented live original soul music written and performed by female artists. Performance highlights include appearances at Melbourne Recital Centre, Federation Square, The Corner, Shadow Electric, Bella Union, Brunswick Music Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival and more.
