Michael Simic AKA Mikelangelo - Dark Moon Tour

Stepping out from behind the Mikelangelo persona, Michael Simic announces a solo tour in November to launch the single Dark Moon, from his forthcoming album. He's playing in solo mode at the Rhythm Hut.

Well known for his long term band Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen (who celebrate their 20th anniversary this year), Simic’s solo work puts his intimate storytelling and reflective ballads front and centre.

Balancing light and shadow, his melodic, guitar driven songs and sonorous voice share terrain inhabited by Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave, mixed with the dreamy and expansive musical landscapes of Mazzy Star, Cowboy Junkies and Calexico.For a taster, here's a recent live version of Dark Moon shot at Infidel Studios for the Maneki Sessions.

This will be an intimate seated performance with comfy lounges and candlelit coffee tables (well, some of the tables are admittedly made from milk crates and old drum shells) in a quirky grassroots venue with homegrown appeal.

Fully licensed bar with drink specials and local craft brews, homemade vegan meals, and desserts to die for.
