A Sunday Afternoon Big Band Special

The Canberra Big Band Collective presents an end-of-year afternoon of hot swinging big band music at the Harmonie German Club! After having to cancel our mid-year performance this event is sure to fill up quickly. Previous performances have sold out prior to the event, so be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible.

This event features two of Canberra’s finest big bands, Spectrum and ConneXion. There will also be a special swing dance display by the Swing Katz.

Justin Buckingham is the Musical Director for both bands. He said that "The strength of Canberra’s big band scene shows what a diverse city we live in. We hope this event brings some of that life to the broader community.

“If you’re a fan of big band music here is your chance to hear a great representative mix. Over the past several years our community big bands have delivered programs that have proven to be popular with patrons,” he concluded.

This program will also showcase some music by local arrangers and composers.

Doors open at 1.00pm.
