The Broadway I Love

Star Australian tenor Roy Best has always had a love of Broadway and in this show, he gets to sing all of his favourite songs from some of the most-loved musicals of all time. Songs from musicals by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lerner and Lowe, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein and many more will all feature. You can look forward to stunning performances of legendary songs including Music of the Night from Phantom of The Opera, Bring Him Home from Les Misérables plus selections from The Sound of Music and Cats, to name but a few.

One of Australia’s finest tenors, Best, has recorded albums for ABC Classics, performed in lead roles with Opera Australia and Victorian Opera and is currently a guest soloist with the Australian Pops Orchestra.

His leading lady for this production will once again be the incredibly versatile international soprano Alison Jones, who has firmly established her talent and popularity on the Forge Theatre stage. Best and Jones are joined by the ever-popular Christopher Mckenna, who will narrate and compere this fabulous musical performance, and William Schmidt at the piano.  

With beautiful music and nostalgic memories, this will be a delightful celebration of all things Broadway not to be missed.
