The unmissable FREE two-day APT10 Festival will highlight the diversity and vibrancy of the Asia Pacific region.

Join us for art, music, dance, workshops, food + more across outdoor and indoor stages. Don’t miss your last chance to experience the APT10 before it closes!

Free and fun for all ages. No bookings required. Experience events in person or join virtually. All events from the Maiwar Green are live-streamed, Auslan interpreted and closed captioned.

Visitors can catch pop-up performances by the Brisbane Pride Choir and APT10 artist Brian Fuata; drop by the story garden featuring APT10 artist Gordon Hookey, writers Nadine Chemali and Sandhya Parappukkaran and members of The Pacific Climate Warriors; and join art-making workshops designed by APT10 artists Phuong Ngo, Shannon Novak, Vipoo Srivilasa and the Brisbane Tongan Community.

Festival-goers can hear from special guests and artists as they explore the world we inhabit and the future of art in thought-provoking talks titled ‘So…where are you from?’, ‘Art Futures’, ‘Wit: A Weapon of Mass Disruption’ and ‘I’m Not Racist But…'

On Sunday 24 April at 11.00am, the cooking demonstration ‘You Are What You Eat’ will feature former Masterchef contestant and chef Emily Yeoh and APT10 artist Vipoo Srivilasa, sharing recipes close to their hearts and highlighting the role played by food in connecting to and celebrating culture.

The APT10 Festival concludes with a curated Performance Extravaganza, featuring high energy performances by some of Queensland’s best dance troupes, musicians and more from 2.00 to 5.00pm on Sunday 24 April. Hosted by drag performers Shivannah (Fez Faanana) and Kween Kong (Thomas Fonua), the extravaganza includes a Clap Stick Flash Mob by Digi Youth Arts, Bollywood Dance with Dance Masala, local Pasifika performers Conscious Mic, sitar group Sudha Manian and YATRA, the five-piece Shanasheel Arabic Music Ensemble, Japanese drumming team Kizuna Taiko, Filipino-Australian folk dancers Hiraya Performing Artists and Brisbane’s pioneering ballroom performers, the House of Alexander.

Food and drinks will be available at the GOMA Bistro, GOMA Restaurant, QAG Cafe and pop-up Newstead Coastal Bar, and food trucks will be on-site with tantalising international cuisine.

APT10 Festival events hosted on the Maiwar Green outside GOMA will be live-streamed at qagoma.qld.gov.au/livestream, Auslan interpreted and closed captioned. Many of the activities are located outdoors, which means there is plenty of room to enjoy the APT10 Festival safely.

Free travel to and from APT10 Festival is available via Translink for those visitors who register at: qagoma.qld.gov.au/APT10festival
