The Swan Valley is one of Perth’s favourite destinations for a long lunch but for one weekend this spring, select businesses will come alive at night for the return of Entwined in the Valley.

The bumper program of new and returning favourites offers visitors the opportunity to sip, sample, wine and dine at several venues that don’t ordinarily open after dark, or only for functions and special events.

Not a night owl? From brunches and long lunches to hands-on masterclasses and market days, there are plenty of daytime activities to ignite the senses and tempt the tastebuds no matter your budget.

For a weekend of delicious experiences not available every day, mark your calendar and get ready to get Entwined in all the Swan Valley has to offer.

Here’s just a sample of what you will find in the full program:

A Night Out in the Valley:
• Degustation Dinner with Matched Wines: Upper Reach Winery and Restaurant, October 7. An indulgent five-course degustation dinner overlooking the vineyard, featuring locally sourced and seasonal produce matched with new release wines from the Upper Reach cellar.
• Old Young’s Kitchen Degustation: October 7. Expect exciting dishes with unexpected ingredients and flavours from executive chef Rohan Park (recently nominated as a finalist for Best New Talent at the Gourmet Traveller Restaurants Awards 2023), accompanied by Old Young’s handcrafted, award-winning spirits.
• 1840 at Sandalford: October 7. Last year’s sell-out event returns with five courses of epicurean perfection paired with Sandalford’s unique 1840 wine collection.
• The First Supper: The Estate at Chapel Farm, October 8. Be among the first to formally dine at the Estate, a stunningly-restored Church Barn with a great hall feel and the newest venue within Chapel Farm. Enjoy an epicurean five-course degustation featuring local produce and tastings of Chapel Farm wines.
• The Yahava Speakeasy - The Roaring Barrel, October 8. Get caffeinated in creative new ways after dark as Yahava KoffeeWorks teams up with Whipper Snapper Distillery and Vino Volta Wines for an evening of creative cocktails, food and wine.
• Long Table Dinner Under the Stars: Valley Social, October 8. Enjoy American barbeque-inspired mains with Australian contemporary flair and live music at the Valley’s newest brewery, which incorporates hemp into its beers.

Wine Time:
• Swan Valley Wine Show Winners: Nikola Estate, October 8. With the annual Swan Valley Wine Show being held from September 14-16, this year Entwined has the unique opportunity to present a special event where guests can meet the winemakers, taste the prestigious trophy winners and indulge in a grazing board from European Foods.
• Winemaker for a Day: Olive Farm Wines, October 9: Sip, swirl and spill as you assemble your favourite blend under expert guidance, then enjoy a glass of your masterpiece with a grazing board at the end of class.
• Corymbia x Vino Volta Open Vineyards Weekend: Rocket’s Vineyard, October 8-9. These critically-acclaimed wineries don’t have cellar doors so this a rare chance to meet the makers and taste local wines against the stunning backdrop of the organic vineyard where the fruit is grown. Families welcome to picnic under the Corymbia tree.

Create and learn:
• Chocolate Masterclass: Margaret River Chocolate Company, October 8. Indulge your sweet tooth by crafting handmade chocolates under the guidance of master chocolatiers.
• Giniversity and Mondo Nougat Masterclass and Lunch: Limeburners and Giniversity in the Valley, October 8. One of the Valley’s newest additions teams up with an old favourite to deliver a pair of tasty masterclasses to ignite the senses, followed by a shared-platter feast and Entwined cocktail.

Supporting events included Enwined in the Valley Markets at Ugly Duckling Wines, Spring into Amazing Artisans at Tyler's Vineyard and Vivaldi in the Vines at Faber Vineyard.
