Party Ghost

Brunswick Picture House is excited to announce the start of an exciting two-week residency featuring world-acclaimed contemporary circus artists Olivia Porter and Jarred Dewey and their company, Poached Eggs and Asparagus. Jarred, the hugely respected acrobat and artist whose ensemble work includes CIRCA and Yummy, and Olivia, the innovative and unique juggler, bring the show “Party Ghost” to Bruns for an in-depth development, working with award-winning director Nicci Wilks, bringing this already fantastic show out of hibernation and culminating in three big shows on 21-23 October at the Picture Show.

Both having featured in our very own Cheeky Cabaret over the years as well as being cast members in our previous touring show “La Soirée” in London, we’re thrilled to partner with Jarred and Liv - talent of such high calibre in the contemporary circus world - and we’re excited for Byron Shire audiences to experience the spooky and hilarious “Party Ghost."

ABOUT PARTY GHOST

Part circus and part seance, “Party Ghost" is made from the limbs of drag queens, the blood of acrobats and the tears of misunderstood clowns. Featuring macabre circus darlings Jarred Dewey (Circa, Circus Oz) and Olivia Porter (Circus Oz, La Soirée), the show centres around a twisted narrative of perpetual birthday purgatory and ghostly identity crisis. As sidesplittingly hilarious, stylistically different from anything else out there, and downright weird as it is physically
astonishing.

Fans of high-level circus and dark comedy will find "Party Ghost" refreshing, jaw-dropping, and hauntingly hilarious.
