In 2022, New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday night so we are bringing you a glorious second chance to celebrate. We are throwing a One Night Stand with two Aussie heroes who have been tearing it up both on home turf and further afield.
Andy Garvey b2b Nite Fleit
Over the past decade Andy Garvey has steadily become a leading force in the Australian music landscape. From music producer to esteemed radio host on triple J and FBi Radio, label boss of her own imprint Pure Space, and co-founder of events collective NECTAR - Andy’s passion for and influence on her local scene is clear. Her 2019 debut EP ‘Eternal Recurrence’ was praised by Resident Advisor as ‘a confident blend of techno and electro’. And she’s continued to release two more EPs on Lobster Theremin and X-Kalay. In the booth, she lights a fire under packed club floors every time she steps up to the decks and we can’t wait to hear what she’s got in store for us when she goes b2b with Nite Fleit.
Aussie-born, London-based Nite Fleit has spent the past five years setting the international club circuit ablaze with her left-of-center body music gems. As a producer, her kaleidoscopic palette of influences, ranging from golden-era EBM and rave, to contemporary acid and electro, has cultivated distinct, genre-melding tracks that are irresistible to dance to. And the world has taken notice, with artists like Mall Grab, Tiffany D, Helena Huff and Umwelt repping her releases. As a DJ, her sets are a braindance exercise in rhythmic propulsion. She brings nothing but pure rave energy to the decks and we can’t wait to see what she brings to Tokyo Sing Song to give you the New Year’s Day dance we all deserve.
