Bicycle Network has announced that the 2021 Great Vic Bike Ride, scheduled to run 27 November to 5 December 2021, will be transformed into a four-day event from 31 March to 3 April 2022 – rebranded the Little Vic.

Bicycle Network did everything in its power to try and run a Great Vic in 2021 but a 9-day riding and camping event is not possible in the current COVID-19 climate.

Bicycle Network have worked hard to put together a ride which delivers on many of the best parts of the Great Vic. Importantly, the Little Vic will also provide a significant boost to our many volunteers, suppliers and gracious hosts in the Grampians region.

The 235-kilometre Little Vic has an exceptional mix of scenery, charming host towns, wildlife and the awe-inspiring Grampians National Park.

To attend the Little Vic, you will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if you're over the age of 12.

The event will be capped at 3,000 riders.

While Bicycle Network is confident that the ride will take place next year, should the event be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, its COVID Refund Policy will apply.

Highlights include:
- Grampians National Park
- A Halls Gap arrival day
- Finish line at Seppelt Winery, Great Western
- A chance to slow down and see Victoria from the seat of a bicycle
- Being part of the face-to-face sense of community that was missing for much of the last two years

This event will help support the ongoing economic recovery of small communities across the Grampians region and it is great to know that participants will have a high propensity to revisit the destinations they travel through on their journey effectively creating up to 3000 ambassadors for western Victoria.

Bicycle Network would like to thank all the communities who’ve supported us over the past 18-months including Northern Grampians Shire, Horsham Rural City, Ararat Rural City Council, Southern Grampians Shire, Hindmarsh Shire Council, Yarriambiack Shire Council and Grampians Tourism.

Seppelt Wines will assist with post-ride celebrations at Great Western.
