After its successful debut in 2021, and a break in 2022 due to COVID-19, Harvest in the Swan Valley returns for 2023 with an extended season of events, activities and delicious photo opportunities to encourage visitors to keep coming back to the Valley for more.
The Swan Valley has been abuzz all summer with visitors spending time with friends and family over long lunches and stocking up on local produce.
Running from Thursday, February 16 to Sunday, March 5, Harvest will see the Swan Valley’s growers, makers and producers celebrate the season’s delights with boutique tours and tastings, masterclasses, long lunches and dinners, gin events and more. Harvest in the Valley is proudly supported by the City of Swan.
Visitors are encouraged to experience the Valley like a local by going behind the scenes at harvest time.
See how grapes are picked, get messy at a traditional wine stomp, try your hand at making nougat with native ingredients, or experience the sights and sounds of wineries in the midst of their new wine vintage.
Harvest is the time of year when generations of families and friends get together to harvest their bounty, and roadside stalls will be overflowing with the freshest of the fresh grapes, melons, mangoes and tomatoes.
Across three weeks, more than 25 businesses in the Swan Valley will open their doors, stands, vineyards and fields for an exclusive range of activities. Full booking details are available at our website.

Some new events include:
The Grape Stomp Off at the Naked Fox Wine Lounge & Cafe: Saturday, February 18. Get your feet sticky at this free ticketed event, acting as a curtain-raiser to coming back to taste the fruits of your labour at Swan Valley Espana on March 5.

Marron Feast at Swan Valley Station: Friday, February 24. Tuck into marron fresh from Swan Valley Station’s own lake as part of its inaugural marron catch.
Enjoy this freshwater delicacy served with a combination of dipping sauces, and a side salad of fresh Swan Valley vegetables.

Old Young’s Kitchen Harvest Festival: Sunday, February 26. Eat well and drink better at the ultimate gin-tastic Sunday sesh. From lunchtime to sundown, Old
Young’s Kitchen will transform into a gourmet festival with live bands and DJs, spirit tastings and cocktail masterclasses.

Returning favourites include:
Grape Picker for a Day at Harris Organic Wines and Spirits: Saturday, February 25. Spend a day in the life of a grape picker at a small organic winery, picking grapes in the cool of the morning. Learn tricks to help you pick efficiently and participate in the grape stomping. Once the work is over, relax over a light grazing board, paired with a glass of wine.

Harvest Fresh Produce Tour: Sunday, February 26. Join this special Harvest experience and let Mr Shuttle introduce you to some favourite growers and local providores in the region, before whiling away the afternoon with a vineyard platter and optional tastings at Pandemonium Estate.

In addition to ticketed events, there will be the chance to “snap, share and win” at vineyards and other locations around the Valley including Twin Hill Wines, Ugly Duckling Wines, The Grape Place and Mondo Nougat. Take a photo at the Harvest-themed location, share to Instagram (from a public account), tag
@theswanvalley and #swanvalley for the chance to go in the draw to win a $500 Swan Valley Gift Card.
