A chance to hear Holst’s folk-influenced Second Suite, side-by-side with Vaughan Williams’ landmark composition, Hovhaness’s symphony inspired by Dante and astronomy, some deliberately inaccurate musical quotes/jokes from Ives, and an appearance from Elder Hall’s most frequently programmed composer of 2023, Anne Cawrse.
