Join us at the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival, the largest regional literary event in WA, returning bigger than ever from 12-14 May 2023! Get ready for a three-day storytelling spectacular featuring top Australian authors, journalists, innovators, and big thinkers. Featuring Main Stage headliners, including Bryan Brown, Richard Fidler, Danielle Laidley, Hugh Mackay, and Simon Holmes à Court, who will bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the stage in live interviews and discussions.

The Festival celebrates storytelling in all its forms, with a diverse program that includes author talks, panel sessions, writers’ workshops, and networking events. Immerse yourself in cultural activities, art installations, performances, book launches, and special events throughout the festival.

The Festival Hub is located at the Margaret River HEART where you can experience multiple stages and performance areas, indulge in delicious local food and beverages, explore art exhibitions, and enjoy free family entertainment. The Festival also expands further across the Margaret River region, with satellite venues that offer even more opportunities to connect with literature and the arts.

Don't miss the one-day "Special Edition" Literary Festival in Busselton, featuring a special appearance by the acclaimed author of ‘The Mother,’ Jane Caro, and J.P. Pomare’s exclusive preview of his new book ‘Home Before Night.’ And for aspiring authors and budding readers, the Young Reader & Writers Program runs for two weeks across the festival period, offering engaging and educational activities.

Come along and discover a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and community in the picturesque Margaret River region!
