The Moontide Ensemble returns to the Brunswick Picture House to perform their highly regarded audio/visual show. After blowing away audiences late last year, they will arrive fresh from a tour of New Zealand, en route to Central America and Europe for a stretch of gigs over the summer. This performance, which is largely improvised, offers a glimpse beyond the veil of Moontide’s previous productions along with other unreleased material. The band explores the subtleties of Modern Jazz, World Music, and Electronica through this deeply intentional performance.

The ensemble is made up of Louis Tobin (Piano/Programming/Vox), Michael Ingram (Sax & Bass) and Miles De Carteret (Guitar), combining delicately woven ambient moments, spoken word, and field recordings, creating an immersive listening experience. This will be the last chance to catch local beloved MOONTIDE before he jumps across the oceans to share more of his magic. Moontide will also be playing a DJ set on the evening.

With support from Juman and Bardotide.

Duration: Approximately 3 hours
— Doors 6:40pm
— Juman 7pm–7:50pm
— Bardotide 8pm–8:30pm
— Moontide Ensemble 8:45pm–10pm

ABOUT JUMAN: Born and raised in Naarm/ Melbourne, the songstress now resides in the Northern Rivers of NSW, conjuring music from her forest home on Bundjalung country, and gathering inspiration from her urban upbringing, middle eastern ancestry, and love of the natural world.

ABOUT BARDOTIDE: Bardotide is a haunting and beautiful immersive performance. This symbiosis of live music, Butoh dance, and video art is a homage to the life-death-life
cycles, to the space between loss and revelation, the planetary and personal burstings and birthings that bind us and unite us. Original music performed by Moontide, Butoh dance by the ethereal Alexandra Wynne of iLiminal Butoh, and visuals by the enigmatic Nara Peek-Silva of not__a__cult.

VENUE INFORMATION: Please note the Brunswick Picture House is located in Brunswick Heads NSW, in the Northern Rivers region (not in Brunswick VIC). Please select your tickets carefully as no refund or credit will be granted for errors in identifying the venue location.
