Come on a journey in music and mythical imagery spanning thousands of years and be immersed in the world of ancient Egypt, which laid out so many of the universally adopted rituals, symbols and truths present in all the popular religions throughout history and which are still in use to this present day. The concert moves through the cradle of civilisation to the many divergent forms of evolving cultures in humanity’s timeless search for meaning, healing, and the universal tendency of humans to embark on a quest for wellbeing in their “afterlife”.

This concert is inspired by a new special exhibition at the museum called Discovering Ancient Egypt and it's on from the 10 June to 8 October. See the exhibition and then come along to concert and be immersed in the world of ancient Egypt.

Rupert Guenther “created an Ed Sheeran-meets-Brian Cox vibe, with sinuous interweaving of melodic lines and harmonies to instil a sense of meditative wonder.” The West Australian

Rupert is a international composer-violinist whose bespoke performances include Tate Britain London, Docklands Museum London, National Gallery of Victoria Melbourne, Lawrence Wilson Gallery UWA, Guildhall Festival London, Melbourne International Festival, Bombora House NYC, and recitals in Sweden, Austria, Italy and USA.
