SYDNEY 1929: Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh rule the underworld. The Razor Gang Wars erupt. Blood flows. Meet them in the crypt.
Journey through Sydney’s dark past with Razor Gang Wars - an immersive theatre show staged in the unique setting of a 200-year-old crypt beneath the St James’ Church in Sydney.
The audience will be guided through the eerie rooms to witness the story behind one of Sydney’s most interesting true-crimes!
Razor Gang Wars is set in Sydney during the late 1920s when crime queens Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh ruled the underworld. When the notorious Norman Bruhn makes a bid to overturn the backstreets of Razorhurst, a war of deceit and violence erupts. Amid the chaos stands Lillian Armfield, Australia’s first police woman.
Back by popular demand, Razor Gang Wars returns to the crypt following a sold-out season in 2022 and rave reviews. It's the fourth instalment in the Deadhouse immersive theatre series, presenting classic Australian tales of true crimes for the past five years.
