About the Artists.
Peter Vadiveloo
Captivating indie singer-songwriter Peter Vadiveloo has been performing nationally and internationally for over 30 years.
Peter weaves blues, roots, funk and folk music around a rich seam of contemporary issues including social justice and the environment. He is a terrific performer, loves interacting with an audience, has a huge voice, is a master percussionist, and a fine guitarist. Peter’s deft use of a looper pedal creates a full and layered musical experience.

Cate Taylor
Winner of the 2022 Maldon Festival, Roddy Read Songwriter Award
Cate is an indie-folk/alt-country artist from Melbourne. Her songs are delivered in a rich, vocal performance of poetic story telling, reflecting social, personal and environmental themes.
Her music is grounded in heartfelt spacious lyrics with a performance style that is authentic and engaging.
Taylor launched her debut, studio album, Red Dirt in March 2020. This strong and moving collection of songs also features some of Melbourne’s finest musicians.

Phil Hudson
and The Grand Kompanions
The dynamic Melbourne 4 piece straddle social comment and wit in their catchy story songs, travelling through roots and pop-rock to clarinet-infused gypsy terrain.
With thoughtful originals by accomplished singer-songwriter Phil Hudson, The Grand Kompanions feature Mich Dedek on clarinet & backing vocals, Tri Nguyen on bass and Dean Lombard (The Phosphenes) on drums. Come prepared for some serious foot-tapping fun!
