State-wide Caravan Safety Program - Brisbane

VanSafe Queensland is an initiative of Caravanning Queensland in partnership with the Queensland Government’s StreetSmarts Program.

In response to the post-Covid caravanning boom and the rapid rise in recreational vehicle (RV) ownership across Queensland over the past few years, Brisbane is holding a FREE statewide caravan safety check program.

Open to all owners of caravans, campers and motorhomes, VanSafe Queensland will educate and support recreational vehicle (RV) owners with the information they need to tow confidently, safely and compliantly – helping to create safer roads right across the state.

Owners can book in for a FREE RV combination inspection and weigh for safety and compliance. To encourage participation, the event will be a safe zone for all who attend meaning no fines or breaches will be issued.

Attendees car and caravan will be weighed and inspected and a full report emailed to you after the event which is taking place over two days from Saturday, May, 28 to Sunday, May, 29. Bookings are essential and strictly limited.

With the highest number of registered recreational vehicles in Queensland (201,477) and a 190% increase in Google searches around caravan safety in Queensland, there is no excuse for current or aspiring ‘cara-fans’ not to RSVP and head on down!
