Dean Hall Folk-Blues Show

All proceeds from the BBQ and bar will go directly back into supporting the local hall and community, so they can continue to run the hall, and host more events like this in the future. The Darlings Family Trust:
With acoustic fingerstyle guitar songs to warm and lush electric guitar sounds alongside sprawling stories sung in unison harmonies, The Darlings Family Trust root themselves in Folk music whilst dashing in and out of other genres like blues, rock and country.

Peter Allan:
Peter Allan is a Ballarat-based singer performing original compositions with acoustic guitar accompaniment. Grounded in 1920’s blues, with influences from the great blues story-tellers, there’s a Spanish influence, a pinch of pop, and even samba-jazz overtones. The songs are arranged with room for improvisation, sometimes intricately layered but always accessible with catchy melodies, strong rhythms and soulful singing.

Broken Creek:
Drawing on Old Time banjo and country fiddle traditions Broken Creek weave compelling musical reimaginings of Australiana for banjo, guitar, fiddle and voice that tell stories of outsiders from Australia’s past and present.

Their show features songs about small-town Australia, original tunes inspired by land and subversive re-imaginings of traditional Australian songs, folklore and tunes that challenge the narrative of Australian cultural history.

Rhyley McGrath + Maddie O'Connor:

Rhyley + Maddie are a Victorian based duo, specialising in blues and acoustic folk music. Their music includes soulful harmonies, fingerpicking guitar style with complimenting bass and percussion. With songs about travelling the country, and the troubles while doing it, they always bring an engaging performance that is sure to leave you wanting more.
