Jazz Haus - The Trish Delaney-Brown Quintet

Enjoy a night of great jazz at Tuggeranong Arts Centre on Saturday 4 May.

It’s been over 10 years since Trish hung up her ‘Idea of North’ acappella hat. During her 15 years with Canberra’s ARIA-winning group, her songwriting was well utilized, and her efforts garnered several prestige awards.

These days, Trish has returned to what she loves best – a small, tight ensemble performing original material and arrangements of favorite jazz standards in which the voice functions both as storyteller, and as an additional instrument – wordless and blended.

Along with her duties as Head of Vocals, at Wollongong Conservatorium, Trish continues to perform and record. Her 2017 album, The Game, (ABC Jazz Digital) was shortlisted for a 2018 ARIA “Best Jazz Album “and her latest EP of original material is due for release in early 2024, hot on the heels of the debut EP for her vocal trio LYHRA.

For the upcoming concert, Trish will be singing songs from her 2017 ARIA shortlisted album The Game as well as favorite jazz standards and newer compositions, including songs from the upcoming EP.
