The Gooch Palms

The Gooch Palms hail from the industrial seaside town of
Newcastle, Australia.
They are a bratty two-piece that play a scuzzy blend of
new wave, pop, rock 'n' roll and punk using only one guitar,
two drums and a theremin.
They like to call this mash of genres "shit-pop".
Their songs are fairly abrupt but full of catchy hooks and memorable sing-a-long lyrics.
Their home recordings have resulted in two 7" releases
(La Cucarachas Stole My Baby & R U 4 Sirius) and a free download on bandcamp (A Shitty Tribute To The Ramones).
An album is currently in the works and due for release in 2013.
The Gooch Palms live show is gaining them quite a reputation
in Australia. You never know exactly what you'll get but they always put on a wildly energetic live show and most often than not, there will be full frontal nudity from Leroy, missed drum beats from Kat and a whole lot of theremin stroking. It's loose, fast and a whole lot of fun, if you don't mind being spat
on or mooned.
They aim to polarise their audiences, so you will either love these guys or absolutely hate them. Either way, they're happy!
