After weeks of rumours, Frontier Touring Company have confirmed that Morrissey is coming to Australia for a handful of shows this December, performing in Brisbane, Melbourne, and two shows in Sydney, at the Enmore Theatre and the Sydney Opera House.
Erudite, outspoken and immensely talented, Morrissey steered UK independent music in the '80s as the frontman for one of the most perpetually adored bands of all time, The Smiths - their concise, literate catalogue remains the definitive how-to-guide for thousands of artists.
Personal issues plagued the band in their latter years, with the group splintering in 1987. Morrissey then went on to launch a successful solo career, which has spawned nine studio albums, various stand alone singles and thousands of amazing one-liners, which reside on millions of tumblrs around the world.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale 2pm September 24, with general public tickets on sale from 9am September 26.
