Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel has announced its official return as a live music venue.
The Lansdowne and venue management/booking company SuperStylin’ Entertainment will open its doors for a free launch party on Friday October 18, with a lineup to be announced on September 24.
The Lansdowne will reopen with a New York diner menu and a completely refurbished interior, taking cues from New York warehouses.
In January this year the hotel's lodgers were evacuated as a fire tore through the third floor of the building. A 23-year-old woman was later charged with damaging property by fire, and threatening to destroy or damage another person's property. Police said the fire was a result of an altercation she had with other tenants.
