To celebrate the release of his 10th stuidio album 'Standard', Multi-Grammy Award-winning soul legend Seal will be embarking on an Australian tour in March to April 2018. He will first be performing at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, then will make his way to Canberra's Royal Theatre and Melbourne's Hamer Hall. He's also set to stop by Adelaide Convention Centre before the final show at the Riverside Theatre in Perth.
Released this November through Virgin EMI Records and Decca Records, 'Standard' features the British singer-songwriter’s own spin on timeless tunes like “Lucky Be A Lady”, “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”, “My Funny Valentine” and “Smile” to name a few. The tour will see him perform all these classics along with his catalogue of original hits that made him a giant in the music scene like “Crazy”, “Kiss from a rose” and “Killer”. What’s more? He will be bringing his orchestra to back him up on all performances.
In the late 1980s, Seal started what would be an illustrious music career—joining bands and performing in clubs and bars. Doubting himself at first, he soon cemented his reputation in the industry as a true music enthusiast—releasing several albums, making chart-topping hits, playing remarkable live performances and bagging awards and recognitions. So far, he has four Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards and an MTV Video Music Award under his belt. Injecting gospel quality and rasp to his voice, Seal easily sweeps away audiences with every song he sings.
