David Baddiel Brings ‘My Family: Not The Sitcom’ Show To Australia This September

British comedian David Baddiel is bringing his critically-acclaimed, Olivier-nominated one-man show ‘My Family: Not The Sitcom’ to Aussie stages this September. He will kick off the tour at the Seymour Centre in Sydney then will head down to Perth for a much-anticipated performance at the Octagon Theatre. He will cap the tour with a two-night comedy treat at Melbourne's Alex Theatre.

‘My Family: Not The Sitcom’ made a successful tour across the UK, including two critically-acclaimed runs in West End. Tackling everything—from aging, unfaithfulness, family matters, social media to gay cats and golf and a disrespectful celebration of the lives of David's parents—the show has garnered high-marks from critics. J.K. Rowling described it as a “brilliant, funny, emotional” show while Bill Bailey thought it was “deeply personal, hilarious and touching in equal measure.”

"This is a rare production that boasts side-splitting laughs and also moves people to tears." - Evening Standard, UK

"A show that bubbles with love and unexpected joie de vivre." - The Telegraph, UK

Sure enough, David Baddiel’s 30-year career made him master the art of making people happy. Mention comedy and his name is sure to be on the upper part of the list. His name has been the talk of every household, having been known for shows like ‘The Mary Whitehouse Experience’ with Rob Newman and ‘Fantasy Football League’ with Frank Skinner. Apart from doing stand up comedy, Baddiel is also an acclaimed screenwriter, television presenter and an author.
