The 2012 Tulip Time Festival is set to kick off on Tuesday 18 September and will run through until Monday 1 October.
Remaining one of Australia’s favourite floral festivals, Tulip Time centrepiece Corbett Gardens in Bowral will again be massed planted with over 60,000 tulip and 25,000 annuals for the 2012 festival. An additional 40,000 tulips will be planted in the surrounding towns of Winifred West Park, Mittagong and Leighton Gardens, Moss Vale, all creating a magnificent sea of colour, for visitors to enjoy.
Throughout the 14 day Tulip Time festival there will be a changing program of events including live entertainment in Corbett Gardens, Food and Wine Fair, House and Garden Expo, Tulips After Dark and everyone’s favourite, the Tulip Time Street Parade. Complimenting the festival will be a selection of the Southern Highlands best private gardens, which will open for public inspection.
Corbett Gardens remains a very accessible location for those who may be less mobile, being flat with pathways throughout the gardens. Coach parking areas are also provided. Light lunches, morning and afternoon teas are available in Corbett Gardens, provided by the Bowral Senior Citizens, or immediately adjacent to the gardens at the Bowral CWA Rooms. Both options provide homemade treats at affordable prices; with groups it is advisable to book to avoid disappointment.
A full program of events is available from the official website.
