Guy Sebastian - Madness Tour 2015

Australia’s most successful male artist, Guy Sebastian, will embark on his first ever national arena tour playing six shows as part of his ‘Madness’ tour in Wollongong, Brisbane, SydneyMelbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The ‘Madness’ tour will kick off in February 2015.  To celebrate the tour announcement, Guy Sebastian’s brand new single, ‘Come Home With Me’ will be heard on Australian radio from today and will be available to purchase digitally.

Guy Sebastian says, “I love playing live. For me, it’s probably one of the most rewarding aspects of being a musician.  It was gratifying to win the ARIA Award for ‘Best Live Act’ last year because we put so much effort and energy into our shows. The ‘Madness’ tour will be on a whole new level; we are really upping the ante and going all out! I’m chomping at the bit to hit the road because it gets a bit crazy when you’re in the studio for hours on end. You definitely have to tap into a different headspace creatively and you can go a bit mad! Aristotle said, ‘there is no great genius without a mixture of madness’ and there was certainly a lot of madness surrounding this single and pulling this tour together…hence the name for the tour, ‘Madness’!”

The new single, ‘Come Home With Me’ was written by Guy Sebastian, Mario Marchetti (Demi Lovato, Black Eyed Peas) and Britt Burton (Alexandra Burke, The Wanted) and was recorded in both Sydney and Los Angeles.  The single was mixed in Atlanta and mastered in New York. It’s a catchy pop hit that is sure to delight music directors and Australian music charts when it is released tomorrow.

“The band and I have captured some magic moments in the studio. I hope my fans will love this single as much as I do. I can’t wait to play it live.  I’m also really looking forward to playing in these great Australian venues especially as I have seen so many of my favourite artists play at these arenas over the years. I know the fans will love the show. It will be a big show but like everything we do, it will still have that intimate feel,” says Sebastian.

There will be a number of different ticket options available for the ‘Madness’ tour.  Fans that want to get up close and personal and play a part within the show can purchase tickets to ‘The Mad House’.  This will be a dedicated standing area at the front of the stage where fans can dance and go wild whilst being involved in show.  ‘The Mad House’ will be full of colour, fun and of course…madness!

Fans can expect one of the most incredible live shows with outstanding production on the 2015 ‘Madness’ tour as Guy is working closely with Canadian born, Bruce Ramus who has designed and directed countless international live shows and events including rock bands; U2, R.E.M., David Bowie, Bryan Adams, David Byrne, James Brown and television shows including; the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, MTV Awards, ARIA awards and Super Bowl Halftime Shows.

Guy Sebastian is the only Australian male artist to have ever achieved six number one singles and two number one albums in chart history.  Over the course of his career Guy has received 22 ARIA Award Nominations including Single of the Year, Best Male Artist and Best Pop Artist, and won the ARIA Award for Highest Selling Single for ‘Angels Brought Me Here’ and ‘Who’s That Girl’.

Altogether, Guy has released 11 top ten singles, and three other top 15 singles. Six of those singles have achieved multi-platinum certification, including the 8 x platinum ‘Battle Scars’. With 42 platinum, three gold certifications and combined album and single sales over 3 million in Australia, Guy has one of Australia’s best success stories. In August 2013, ‘Battle Scars’ went Platinum in the US, with Guy being one of few artists in Australian music history to achieve this.  In 2013 Guy‘s national ‘Get Along’ tour sold out across all 47 dates in all markets across Australia.  Guy has spent the majority of 2014 between Sydney and Los Angeles writing his eighth studio album.
