Championed by hardcore fans the world over, Stray From The Path are known for their politically charged lyrics. Their latest full-length release, ‘Subliminal Criminals’, stands as no exception – building itself around piercing examination of the strained relationship between civilians and law enforcement in contemporary America.
Through the urgency and power of their instrumentation, the Long Island natives have constructed an uncompromising lens through which to view the world; a take-no-prisoners approach to the propagation of injustice and inequality.
"The album touches things like nature, our food and water supply, slavery by debt, glorification of war, business of the medical industry, government spying on their own citizens, sexual predators in the music scene, current state of law enforcement,” guitarist Thomas Williams explained in a recent interview with Alternative Press. “Much like every other Stray record, we write about what’s happening in our lives and the things that we see."
No strangers to Australian shores, Stray From The Path first toured Australia in 2013 alongside Northlane, then again in 2014 as part of The Amity Affliction's massive 'Let The Ocean Take Me' tour.
