Sugar Mountain Festival 2016

Dubbed as Melbourne’s most progressive music and arts festival, Sugar Mountain Festival is an annual single-day festival showcasing the best in contemporary music, visual art and new media, focusing on the natural meeting points between different mediums.

Sugar Mountain is a place for creativity to be absorbed and celebrated. The festival curators are determined to create an environment that is convivial and interactive, with performances and spaces that will remain with the audience long after the festival finale.

Sugar Mountain makes its return to Victorian College of the Arts on Saturday 23 January, 2016, featuring the likes of British electro outfit Hot Chip, Aussie rockers Dirty Three and homegrown hero Courtney Barnett.

International acts such as Empress Of, Viet Cong and Julio Bashmore will also be heading down under for the Sugar Mountain 2016, whose local lineup boasts the likes of Alpine, City Calm Down and Royal Headache.
