Heartattack and Vine

Heartattack and Vine was started by a team of four people: Jono Hill and Hootan Heydari (the pair behind previous cafés a minor place and Wide Open Road), and Emily Bitto and Nathen Doyle. The initial idea grew out of a trip that Emily and Hootan made to Italy and Spain in 2014, where they fell in love with the simplicity and hospitality of the many small neighbourhood bars they hung out in. Heartattack and Vine is based on this model of the classic European neighbourhood bar/café, open day and night, where things are kept simple and the focus is on warmth, hospitality, friendliness and quality. What we have added to this model is the experience we bring in specialty coffee. Heartattack and Vine is the only place in Melbourne serving specialty coffee from 7am until 11pm every day.
