The Kew Court House is a historically listed building that with the assistance of Local Council, State Government and Federal Government through grants including Heritage Victoria ($250,000), Department of Planning & Community Development Community Support ($100,000), Australian Government Regional & Local Community Infrastructure Programme ($486,500) as well as fundraising by the Kew Historical Society and the Kew Court House Arts Association Appeals Committee which jointly raised over $500,000 towards its current restoration.

So after many years of being vacant The Kew Court House precinct is currently undergoing restoration and conversion to be used as a performance space for local groups, performers and emerging talents. When complete mid 2011 The Kew Court House Arts Precinct will be available to the community as a small scale arts and community development centre - providing arts, historical displays, exhibitions, recitals, product launches, small meeting and function facilities, as well as providing an intimate setting for performances and formal rites of passage.
