At La Niche, our focus is on providing good, simple, fresh food served in a comfortable atmosphere, coupled with great live music featuring local musicians especially on Friday nights.
Anthony and Amanda opened La Niche in 2005 wanting to bring to Melbourne the kind of places Anthony used to have in brittany, where he grew up (except we French don't toast the baguette for lunch!!!).
Since July 2010, we have moved to a new location, just two doors down from the old cafe. Our new premises feature more relaxing spaces including a leafy and festive courtyard and two dining rooms that are available for private events.
La Niche is available for special bookings and private functions. Please contact us to add a little French touch to your special occasions.
For local artists and musicians, please do contact us to have your work displayed on the walls or to play at our cafe.
