SOA Theatre

Ideally located in the Townsville CBD on the corner of Stanley and Walker Streets, the Dancenorth Theatre is fully equipped and includes 200 seats in tiered style. Housed within the heritage listed school of Arts building, our venue features a full-size performance space in an intimate auditorium, accompanied by a renovated foyer and bar. There is one large dressing room at the rear of the performance space with two bathrooms, each with a toilet and shower. In addition, we have an upstairs studio / boardroom for smaller occasions, such as business meetings and corporate events. The studio features polished timber floors and opens via French doors onto a full-length verandah where guests can enjoy the tropical CBD atmosphere.
