Thirty years ago a tradition of cult movie marathons etched itself onto the Melbourne film community, via the original Valhalla Cinema. It vanished.
We're bringing it back. We've added some tricks too.
The reintroduction of cinema-going lost to Melburnians since the 1990s got us started. We're now experimenting with the movie experiences of our past and aiming high with regularly scheduled, carefully curated programs of quality cult film and new releases. With the old Richmond and Westgarth institutions consigned to memory, we're channelling the spirit of Valhalla and again providing an alternative to the status quo.
