Bears With Guns are a firm fixture on the Australian music scene. With their eclectic use of instruments – cajon, djembe, mandolin and ukulele topped off with warm husky vocals – the Bears explode onstage, infecting audiences with their energetic live performance and unique alternative rock sound.

Working their way around Australia, they're regular headliners at FBi Social and have played alongside comrades Castlecomer and Winter People. Most recently they hit the road playing 4 shows with Australian rock legends Icehouse on their ‘Primitive Man’ tour.

Their debut EP ‘Taken for a Fool’ produced by ARIA award winner Wayne Connolly, hit the airwaves in September via FBI Radio, RRR and 4ZZZ, with interviews and live in-studios following suit. The EP has also garnered attention overseas with UK folk radio describing the Bears sound as "dynamic, upbeat and infectious melodies. They demonstrate their ability to maintain a stripped down set as well as being able to add that extra dynamic when called for."

SMH's Metro described the Bears as a "spirited five-piece that draw on more than merely matters of the heart for their debut EP". ABC Perth went on to say, "this band plays a heartfelt brand of vigorous, tuneful country rock with driving harmonies atop lashings of folk ... and that’s only the beginning.”

The second single, a limited edition press ‘For the Thrill’ will be launched Saturday 17 November at The Standard.
