What is the Bureau is a series of national seminars, in conjunction with the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux (AACB), to explain the free services and assistance that convention bureaux, such as Business Events Sydney (BESydney), provide. Set against the stunning backdrop of Vivid Sydney 2012, the Sydney seminar will also highlight the wealth of opportunities that arise from planning business events to coincide with major events.

Vivid Sydney is celebrated as an annual forum for creative collaboration and truly showcases Sydney as a city where technology, commerce and art intersects.

In 2011, the annual Vivid Sydney event was successfully used as an ‘anchor’ event for numerous additional complementary conferences, seminars and events including AMPlify, CeBIT Australia, Encore Live, Mumbrella360, SPARC International Lighting Event, and X Media Lab.

This kind of smarter scheduling allows organisers of conferences, association meetings, incentive programs and corporate meetings to draw in larger delegate numbers, inject excitement and anticipation into routine events, open up opportunities for collaborative events, and in some cases can garner greater media, government and public attention.
