Presented in conjunction with Australian Writers Guild (AWG) and hosted by Tony Chu from Networking Action for Filmmakers and Actors (NAFA), the FutureFilm Scriptwriting Competition celebrates the future of Australian screenwriting with a specific and unique focus on performance writing. Five talented, emerging writers will be selected to workshop up to 15 minutes of their writing with actors in front of a live audience. The judges will award the winner with $1000 cash, a copy of the final draft, and inclusion in AWG's Pathways program. All five finalists also recieve AWG Associate Membership.

The 2012 judging panel includes award winning writer, director and editor Pip Karmel (Me, Myself I; Shine), Writer Alice Bell (Suburban Mayhem, "Connie", AACTA Award winner The Slap and Rush) and Blake Ayshford (Crownies, Love My Way, The Alice)

We are pleased to announce the finalist five scripts:
- No Answers In A Gun written by Ken Wallace
- Kicking In Danger written by Paul Bugeja
- Postcards From Nowhere written by Ben Cluse
- Burn written by Andrew Bennett
- Detroit written by Carolyn Burns

Entries have now closed - we look forward to seeing the finalists on stage. Come and join in the audience for a truly unique night out

Registration essential.
