From the team behind An Inconvenient Truth and Food Inc. comes an eye-opening, energetic examination of the world's most valuable resource - water. Starting off in the ever-expanding and water-profligate city of Las Vegas (with its green lawns and sprinklers surrounded by desert), director Jessica Yu then takes us west to the food bowl of California - rapidly shrinking because of conflicting water demands. Next stop, Down Under, and the parched farms of Victoria, regularly subjected to flood and fire. Then there are the pharmaceuticals, the contentious practice of 'fracking', the rising tide of bottled water - all have an impact on this precious commodity. Using interviews with campaigners such as Erin Brockovich, environmental experts and guys on the ground, Yu drives home the catastrophic state of our attitude to water usage with humour, sharp visuals and a snappy score from Emmy winner Jeff Beal.
