As quintessentially West Australian as a concert series can be, Live At The Quarry returns for a sixth season on November 9, 2012 with musical comedy geniuses Tripod delivering the Season Premiere. Come join us for a bottle of West Australian wine and a picnic at the venue where high-end entertainment is guaranteed and value-for-money BYO is just how we roll.

Also filling out the first Live at the Quarry announce for 2012 is reigning Australian indie pop princess Washington on November 16, a recent ARIA Award winner of both Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist; plus on November 30 the return to The Quarry Amphitheatre of a man who was such a hit he sold out three consecutive nights at the same venue in 2010/2011 – true blue legend John Williamson; and for the first time in Perth, the east coast smash hit, Reminiscing… 3 Legends of Australian Music in one memorable concert event featuring the unmistakable talents of Glenn Shorrock (Little River Band), Wendy Matthews and Doug Parkinson on March 14, 2013.

Megan Washington is a two-time ARIA Award winner, platinum album seller, an APRA Breakthrough Songwriter, the inaugural Vanda & Young Songwriter of The Year and recipient of numerous other industry accolades. The full depth and breadth of Washington’s talent however was best signified in the release of the critically acclaimed Insomnia EP and associated live show. Where most artists would have pursued obvious commercial routes, Insomnia presented a darker, more intimate side to Megan’s writing. Comfortable as a mentor on The Voice, as she is performing songs from Insomnia with a members of the ACO – Washington is the real deal.

Tickets for all shows on sale Friday August 31, 2012 from Ticketmaster.
