Guerre (pron. G-air) is Sydney-dwelling, Canadian-born solo producer, Lavurn Lee. His music has been labelled everything from neo soul and avant ghetto to lo-fi R&B. He beautifully weaves ambient synth sounds and dark droning beats with his soothing falsetto. Being likened to Jamie Woon, How to Dress Well and James Blake, Guerre is living up to the hype and creating more than a splash in the blogosphere and beyond.

Guerre's appearance on the track 'Boyfriend' by fellow Sydneysiders Fishing in late 2010 earnt him a bunch of fans early on, but it's his debut video performance of the single 'River Hymnal' that's been creating waves all over the world wide web. It's a delicately layered song created solely using his voice and a looping pedal. It's the perfect example of what his live show is all about, there's loads of knob fiddling, vocal loops, crooning and even some beat boxing.
