In an intimate show, Neil Murray will perform with a special guest, Jim Moginie. The pair recently played an exquisite show to a rapt audience in Alice Springs. The Northern Territory is where they first met when The Warumpi Band joined Midnight Oil for the "Blackfella Whitefella" tour in 1986. Murray was the only whitefella in the band. The ground breaking Warumpi Band propelled contemporary indigenous music into mainstream Australia with such classic songs as Blackfella Whitefella, Jailanguru Pakarnu and the evergreen My Island Home which was re-recorded by Christine Anu. Murray has had a solo career since 1989, garnering many awards and accolades along the way. Neil received an APRA Award for My Island Home and the song has become something of an unofficial anthem, being played at the closing ceremony of The Sydney Olympics in 2000. Neil has released many solo albums and they are available through ABC Music.
