“The Art of Making Dreams Come True” - Pop M'art Charity Art Auction supporting Starlight Children's Foundation.

You’ve heard of pop up gourmet food trucks, now Melbourne has its very own pop up mobile art studio! Created by Maggie Chan, Pop M’art (Pop Up Moveable Art) is a pop up mobile art studio which you may well have seen ‘popping up’ all over Melbourne in the past three months.

Now Pop M'art is holding a Charity Art Auction on July 7 at The Industrial School, Abbotsford Convent to auction off the ‘200 stories of art’ that its patrons have created. Nationally acclaimed artist Matthew Quick will be making a guest appearance at the event as well as curating the top 10 pieces for auction. All proceeds from the auction are being donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia.

Matthew Quick, named in Business Review Weekly as one of Australia’s top 50 artists, is the events curator and responsible for selecting the top 10 pictures for the main charity auction. Quick will also be showcasing some of his art at the Pop M’art Grand Finalé Charity Art Auction, as well as delivering a speech to guests providing a unique insight into where he draws his inspiration from as a professional artist.

Doors open at 6pm when guests are invited to peruse the ‘200 stories of art’ being auctioned off. There will be a short presentation from Pop M’art followed by the guest appearance from Matthew Quick before the main auction commences at 8pm. Pop M’art is rounding off the evening with live music and confirmed performances from Monkey's Pirate and Alfred Daniel from The Bell Parade.
