Featuring Ian & Nigel Date – guitars
Howard Cairns – bass
Daniel Weltlinger - violin

The Date Brothers will be performing at Thredbo and Bowral Jazz Festivals, as well as in Melbourne and Sydney. They describe their music as “the most excellent music. We strive to keep everyone happy and entertained with really great, honest and exciting music with improvisation and played as skilfully as we can”.

This music is unashamedly happy and exciting. Music that everyone can feel a part of, drawing much from Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt. You can download one of their recordings, 'Recardo Bossa Nova', from their website (link above).

This evening's performance is with Daniel Weltlinger - an accomplished violinist and composer playing Gypsy-swing, jazz, klezmer and experimental free-improvised music.
